Say Hello to Mpita (Traveler). She was born in the truck on the way to the Vet. She is inquisitive but not too agressive. she is always in the action. Right now she is the female to watch - using her nose and trying to potty away from the crowd. At this age there isnt much more to her world!




We got lucky with this action shot. Longa (Big) ran from the porch into the kitchen with a 2.5 foot long toy snake. Notice Zuri (beautiful) in mid air about to stop him in his tracks. At one point we had 7 puppies tugging on that poor snake...

Sudi: Yeah, me too. Whats the deal with the blue box?

Mpita: If we both push on the lid we can chow down like Kings!

Puppies can fall asleep just about anywhere. Even on the move.

Winda isnt the only one carrying everything she can fit in her mouth... she is just the one we could get a picture of.

This is Longa (Big) on a toy pheasant. The look on his face was priceless. He had no idea that the toy was there...

Then wham, he pounced and took the pheasant for a good run through the kitchen.

Zuri making her 1st waterfowl retrieve at 4 weeks old...sort of.

It looks like Angie will be taking home 2, maybe 3 puppies if Hailey has her way!

These are some fast puppies in their own minds! They are so funny to watch - big dog growls, puppy yips and guard dog barks that come out so hard they back up the pup. I bought them a duck and a pheasant for play today. Can't wait to see what happens with them!

Moving Day

Dixie got out her Roadkill and offered to play with the pups. By the time I got the camera dixie moved on but Zuri was on a coon hunt!

Things I have learned: Puppy chow is to concrete what puppy spit is to mortar...

Jabari thought he might like to take the short cut. Here he is high and dry on the pup rail. He eventually wriggled off and took the long way around.

Winda is headed for stardom and needs shades to disguise who she is from the paparazzi!

Good morning from the pack!

Lots of milestones to report. Today at lunch time Dixie returned to her porch window to keep a watchful eye on the deer and turkeys that threaten to over run her yard. She still cant be bothered with chasing a squirrel but the turkeys needed to be put into the air!








Dixie fed the pups on the office floor last night. When she was done Lonja decided to see if the toy squirrel was a food source.

Our black female Mpita focused on me and wagged her tail late last night. I swear she recognizes me... really.






Sudi became the 1st pup to escape the whelping box. It was a valiant attempt yet a hollow victory. His freedom was shortlived once we added a 2nd board to the opening.
